Sounds grand, but we believe that only a symbiosis of people, vehicles and nature can sustain a mobile society. So to make this all happen, we came up with the Nissan 2010 Green Program. It’s an environmental action plan based on three pillar
Most CO2 is emitted during driving, so we're developing the clean running hybrid and electric cars of the future. We're making today's cars use fuel more efficiently with clever engine improvements and by encouraging different ways of driving.
We've set strict standards on water drainage and chemical waste disposal at our plants. And we’re reducing exhaust gas emissions as well as volatile organic compounds in car interiors.
Our resources won't last forever. Which is why we're always working to reduce waste, reuse and recycle everything we can, from what goes into our plants to what comes out in our vehicles.
These are all good things to be doing today, but we want to do more tomorrow. Find out more about our global management directives at "Nissan Global Environmental Management System".
It’s not just a buzzword. We’re ‘sincere’ because we address environmental challenges and reduce the load on the environment. And we’re an ‘eco-innovator’ because we’re creating a sustainable mobile society to provide you with innovative technology in all our products.
